Part of a protome surmounted on a plaque, possibly depicting a woman. It was found during one of the
Acropolis
excavation campaigns. The figure has big eyes with heavy lids. Traces of white slip and red paint are retained on the surface.
The protome was a dedication at one of the Acropolis’ shrines and possibly depicts one of the worshipped deities.
